Nike still selling Adrian Peterson merchandise… for now

Nike continues to sell Adrian Peterson merchandise, despite the Minnesota Vikings star running back’s legal troubles due to an indictment on child abuse charges.

However, Nike isn’t completely ignoring the current situation involving one of their top star athletes.
Instead, Nike claims that they will be monitoring the situation and some stores in the Twin Cities have begun pulling his gear from the shelves.
“Adrian Peterson remains a Nike athlete. His product continues to be available for purchase at Nike retail destinations,” Nike said in a statement released to CNBC’s Jessica Golden, via ProFootballTalk. “We are aware of the concerning allegations surrounding Adrian. We will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
It will be interesting to see how the latest development and Peterson’s new status with the team affects Nike’s decision moving forward.
