Roger Goodell and the NFL have been absolutely silent about Adrian Peterson since the reports last week that the former MVP was indicted on child abuse charges, but the league and team sponsors have been very loud. Raddison hotel, which has an exclusive deal with the Vikings, suspended it’s partnership with the team and now Nike has done the same.
According to Darren Rovell from ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings running back has had his endorsement deal with Nike officially suspended effective today.
Stores in the Twin Cities have already begun to pull Peterson’s jersey from their shelves including the massive Nike store in the Mall of America.
This is just the latest in what has been a stunning but just fallout from one of the more devastating and morally soul crushing situations the NFL has been faced with.
