The Bengals were unsure whether or not linebacker Vontaze Burfict would be able to play in Week Two after suffering a concussion against the Ravens in the season opener, but he took the field Sunday against the Falcons before leaving the game with what the team called a “stinger.”
Burfict was able to get clearance through the league’s concussion protocol and took the field against the Falcons. Now, Burfict missed practice on Wednesday, but he his suffering from concussion symptoms once again.
Burfict is listed as suffering from another concussion. He’ll now reenter the protocol before he can be cleared to practice or play in a game. Burfict, who has now suffered two concussions in a short period of time will likely be doubtful for the Bengals game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Another notable injury for the Bengals is star wide-receiver A.J. Green who left last week’s game against Atlanta with a foot injury. Green didn’t practice Wednesday but is expected to practice Thursday with the team.
