WWE star Seth Rollins calls Money in the Bank briefcase the ‘greatest prank of all time’

WWE star Seth Rollins had maybe the biggest moment of his career over the summer when he was able to climb a ladder and capture the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase that guarantees him a World Heavyweight Championship match at any time of his choosing throughout the course of the next year. While this is a great accomplishment, it’s also a bit of a hindrance.

No, this is not my opinion. This is coming from Rollins himself.

On WWE.com right now, they have compiled a list of some of the greatest pranks that have ever been pulled. Well when Rollins talked about pranks that have been pulled on him during his wrestling career, he named having to carry around the briefcase as maybe the biggest prank of all time in the business.

"“I’m not much of a prankster and no one seems to prank me, to be honest with you. It doesn’t happen that often. I’ve had the typical ‘people steal my championship and give it to me three seconds before I have to go out.” I couldn’t even tell you how many times that’s happened; it’s ridiculous. The [Money in the Bank] briefcase might be the biggest prank that’s ever been pulled on me, having to carry it around the airport. I don’t mind bringing it to the shows; it’s the airports, because these regular human beings look at me in the airport like I’m some sort of alien walking through the airport with this banged-up, scratched-up briefcase that says ‘Money in the Bank,’ like, ‘What the hell is that?’ So yeah, the briefcase itself is the greatest prank of all.”"

Yes, much like a title belt, the briefcase goes everywhere with the performer that is carrying it. So in actuality, while holding it is a huge coup on television every week, right up until it’s cashed in, it’s a drag to be associated with in real life.

Maybe Rollins has a point on this one.
