Fresh off of Team USA’s gold medal win in the FIBA World Cup tournament, the players have had a little extra time on their hands.

More from Houston Rockets

Rockets star James Harden met up with Alfonso Ribeiro, who gained fame as Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, to try and learn how to do the “Carlton Dance” that Ribeiro used as a celebratory dance on the show. Ribeiro, who probably has not performed the dance, at least not publicly, in close to 20 years still seems to have it. Harden? Not so much.

Maybe it’s because they are missing the background music, which was “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones. Maybe the beard was a little too bulky and knocked his body out of balance. Maybe he is just not a very good dancer.

From the looks of this, Harden needs to stick to the Shmoney dance that Team USA performed after they won the gold medal in Barcelona.

We need to thank the NBA for putting this out on their Instagram account, otherwise we might have missed out on this classic!
