Kings’ Jonathan Quick’s wrist still not 100 percent healthy after surgery
Training camps are opening this week across the NHL as the regular season is right around the corner and the Los Angeles Kings will begin their defense of the Stanley Cup for the second time in the last three seasons, but they’ll have to do so without Jonathan Quick at 100 percent, at least right now.

Quick admitted his wrist is still not quite 100 percent after offseason surgery at the end of June that was to keep him out of action for 10-12 weeks, but Quick remains optimistic that his recovery is right on schedule.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion injured the wrist in the Kings’ second round series against the Anaheim Ducks, which was won in seven games as the Kings advanced to play the Chicago Blackhawks that they won in another seven-game series in the Western Conference Finals to advance to the Cup Final.
Quick was 16-10 during the postseason with a 2.58 goals-against average and .911 save percentage en route to hoisting his second Cup over his head in the last three seasons.
