Roger Goodell has a domestic abuse epidemic on his hands and he’s likely guilty of enabling it. But today he held a press conference in which he was roasted for his involvement in the Ray Rice case and his bewilderment was all that fans needed to see for vindication.

One reporter stepped up above all others though, as CNN’s Rachel Nichols destroyed Roger Goodell. She didn’t arrive with easy troll questions but she roasted the commissioner with precise focus that we haven’t yet seen from the talking heads discussing this situation.
Needless to say, Twitter proudly stood behind her.

This entire saga has been about the belittlement of women, and to have a female sports reporter hammer Goodell with some of the smarted questions he’s been asked and press him like she did was not only fitting — it was awesome.
