College football picks against the spread noon kickoffs September 20

Every week of the season, I will pick all FBS vs. FBS games against the spread. In case you missed how I did last week, it wasn’t pretty. I haven’t had that bad of a week in years.

For a look at how this works, and my picks for Friday and Saturday, go here.

This piece will focus on all kickoffs up to 3pm eastern. The ones for the 3:30 games will be up by noon. The late games will be up by 5pm eastern. That way you have plenty of time to adjust accordingly.

Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech(-7.5): The Bees struggled with Georgia Southern last week. The VT defense will have a huge game. Give me the Hokies……running away!

Iowa at Pittsburgh(-6.5): This line opened at 4, and has risen to 7 in most places. I have a feeling it will be 7.5 by kickoff, so get it here while you can! This should be a low scoring game, but Conner is going to give Iowa hell. Give me Pitt.

Eastern Michigan at Michigan State(-45.5): Good grief! I know that Florida covered this, but offense is not Sparty’s strong suit. This game will be in hand early, and I think Michigan State won’t let the really important pieces play more than 35-40 minutes at the most. At least I hope that’s how it goes. Give me EMU. Even 45-0 wouldn’t cover this!!

Bowling Green at (19)Wisconsin(-26.5): This line is up almost ten points. I know the Badgers have a much better defense than Indiana does, but the Falcons aren’t that bad. Besides, Wisconsin will run the ball a lot. Give me BGSU.

Old Dominion at Rice(-6.5): This line opened four points higher. Now it is at a point where it makes it tough. I like ODU QB Taylor Heinicke, but the Monarchs have little to nothing around him. Hell, they only scored 17 points on a terrible Eastern Michigan team last week. That said, I still think the Monarchs have the best player on the field. I really can’t go against that. Give me ODU.

Troy at (13)Georgia(-41.5): Troy lost to Abilene Christian last week, and the Bulldogs nearly scored that much on South Carolina. I hate big lines like this, but Georgia should have too much talent on offense not to cover this. Give me the Bulldogs.

Maryland at Syracuse(-2.5): This is a tough one. I really like C.J. Brown, and the Maryland offense looked pretty good last week. That said, the Carrier Dome is a tough road venue. Heads. Give me Maryland.

Tulane at Duke(-17.5): Duke is practically the same team that won the ACC Coastal last year, and they still get no respect. Give me the Blue Devils.

Marshall(-9.5) at Akron:Why in the world is this line falling?? Give me Marshall for my lock of the week!

Hawaii at Colorado(-8.5): The early kick time (10am Hawaii time) and the fact that the Warriors have struggled on the mainland in recent years really makes me leery about this. Colorado is awful, but I still think they end up covering this somehow.
