The Oakland Raiders are still hunting for their first win of the season but they’re going to have to continue to rely on rookie Derek Carr to lead them in that direction. So far through two games in the season, Carr has been unable to get the Raiders his first victory of his pro career which has been a point of frustration for fans.

It’s not that there is animosity towards Carr, it’s that this summer Raiders fans thought they were getting Matt Schaub as their starting quarterback and he has yet to see action at all. He was outplayed by Carr in training camp and lost out on the starting job due to injury.
According to Vic Tafur from the San Francisco Chronicle, Schaub will not be playing in his third straight game for the Raiders as he’s set to be inactive this Sunday against the Patriots for non-football related issues.
#Raiders QB Matt Schaub will be out (not injury related) as backup for tomorrow's game.

Not to be unfair to Raiders fans, but Schaub or not, the team doesn’t stand much of a chance against the Patriots. after starting out 1-1, New England is seeing their matchup against the Raiders as an easy way to get to 2-1 and back on top in the AFC East. Improbably, the Patriots are chasing the Bills atop the East, so disposing of the Raiders — no matter who their quarterback is or isn’t — likely won’t be something they spend too much time on this weekend.
