Specifically, with the NFL back, cornerback Richard Sherman is getting an extra slice of the spotlight as he is starring in a new Nike ad that pokes fun at his brazen claims to be the best cornerback in the league.
He’s never been shy about letting us know how he really feels about his talents, and this new ad from Nike knifes right to the heart of that. Sherman stars in the ad which shows him seemingly shy away from his claims to be the best ever, only to work harder and harder so that he can continue to make the claim.
Sherman is clearly in on the bit, as the message of the ad is that Sherman’s hard work is being mooched off of by those looking to cash in on his success. Just like how he has to work hard to keep the Seahawks defense in the best shape as possible, he has to do the same to make sure his aura of perfection goes unspoiled.
That’s just how Sherman works, and you won’t find one Seahawks fan to complain about it.
