Minnesota Vikings could trade Teddy Bridgewater to draft Marcus Mariota
By Josh Hill
The Minnesota Vikings are trying to rebound this season after not only losing their second game of the season but also Adrian Peterson thanks to the child abuse charges being brought against him. But there is so much hope for the future in Minnesota, however that’s been the case for a long time.

It seems the Vikings are always looking ahead to the future and thanks to Peterson missing games this season, that’s the case again this year. Already the topic of the NFL Draft is coming up as Charley Walters from the Pioneer Press is suggesting that should the Vikings continue to stumble this year and end up with a top draft choice, another quarterback change may be in store.
Teddy Bridgewater was traded for this offseason as the Vikings moved up in the draft to take him. But as Walters points out, it’s not far-fetched to think that Minnesota could draft Marcus Mariota this upcoming offseason, which means a trade involving Teddy Bridgewater could be possible.
"The Vikings have rookie Teddy Bridgewater, who’s considered their future franchise QB. But he probably won’t get a chance to prove himself until later in the season. And he could always be traded if the Vikings could get Mariota and decide he’s a can’t-miss QB."
It’s not that hard to imagine the Vikings trading Bridgewater if they can get Mariota, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shopped first-year quarterback Mike Glennon when it looked like Johnny Manziel or Blake Bortles could be available. It’s not a certainty that he’s going to be shopped, but it wouldn’t be shocking either.
