As a child, your favorite sports team often becomes the team that your family rooted for when you were young. No, that’s not always the case but more often than not, it seems to be the situation.

One fan apparently didn’t get the memo however as not only did he decide to leave his family fandom behind, he picked quite possibly the worst team to root for. Given that, the father declared himself a ‘bad parent’ by changing the nameplate on the back of his Philadelphia Eagles jersey in rather hilarious fashion.

Sitting next to his presumed son at the Washington Redskins-Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, the fan wearing an old DeSean Jackson jersey altered the nameplate while his kid sat fully dressed in a Robert Griffin shirt and Redskins cap.

Of course, given everything the NFL has been through as of late, it might not exactly be the best time to pull something like this off though it’s pretty clear the father was just trying to have some fun.

It would have been one thing for the son to pick his own favorite team, but for the sake of his dad he couldn’t pick the Minnesota Vikings? Jacksonville Jaguars? San Francisco 49ers? He just had to pick the Washington Redskins, huh?
