The San Antonio Spurs’ Matt Bonner has never been someone to fill up a stat sheet. (His career averages of 6.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per game are a testament to that.) But the 6-foot-10 forward has a reputation around the league of being a consummate teammate, something the Spurs put a lot of value in. And he’s a goof. A hilarious goof, in fact, which makes him all the more loveable.
There have been plenty of videos and tidbits over the years that have shed light on what kind of character Bonner is, but on Monday afternoon, Dan McCarney, writer for the San Antonio Express-News, shared a few new stories on Twitter.
One of my personal highlights from last year was walking into Spurs practice in a Wu-Tang T and having Bonner flash me a W.

Another great Bonner moment, inspired by @russbengtson. Asked why he didn't have custom X-Mas shoe. Came up with this pic.twitter.com/V1jmgaE63L

McCarney also let everyone in on a little secret.
Also convinced Duncan to offer Bonner to paint Red Mamba logo on hood of Impala for free at his shop, but has not taken him up on it.

Long live the one and only Matt Bonner.
