Boston Celtics don’t intend on trading Rajon Rondo this year
By Josh Hill
The Boston Celtics look like they’re going to be in for a pretty decent season this year, as the team is young and ready to show off what they’re really all about. That doesn’t mean the playoffs are in the future for the Celtics, but it seems like the team is set to take strides in 2014-15.

However, despite the optimism about the upcoming season, there is still the question of Rajon Rondo to answer as the Celtics need to figure out a gameplan with their star guard. If he’s to be traded, which is likely this season, then the rebuilding process will have officially kicked in.
According to Bill Doyle of Worcester Telegram & Gazetteon, Celtics general manager Danny Ainge is still unsure of what the future holds when it come to Rondo but it seems he’s reluctant to trade his star point guard even after all the buzz.
"“The truthful answer is I really don’t know. I have no intention. I’m not trying to trade Rondo.”"
Trading Rondo may be the right move if the Celtics can get the best deal for him, but there’s no guarantee that will happen. The Kevin Love trade is something the Celtics can view as a ceiling and one they won’t reach with an offer. Still, Rondo is a stellar player and someone that a team would bet on for their immediate championship future and mortgage their best young assets to Boston in order to get Rondo.
