Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne returned to the team on Wednesday — just one day after leaving the team facility and skipping a walk-through when he learned he had been demoted in favor of Orlando Scandrick.

While Claiborne’s decision to leave the team gave them an opportunity to fine him or deactivate him for this weekend’s game against the New Orleans Saints, that won’t be happening.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett spoke with the media on Wednesday to address the situation and said that Claiborne immediately realized he made a mistake with how he reacted to the news.

Garrett added that Claiborne addressed the team this morning and that he “ just needs to focus on getting better and helping this team.”

Dallas will obviously need Claiborne on the field against the high-powered Saints offense, so it is important for all parties involved to figure out their differences before Sunday night’s game.
