Claiborne has reportedly returned to the team facilities and will continue working with the team, despite being behind Orlando Scandrick on the depth chart, while they determine what the appropriate steps will be in terms of discipline for the former first-round pick.
The most likely scenario is that the Cowboys will hand Claiborne a fine for leaving the team and missing a walk-through, though they could take a stricter stance if they choose.
Of course, the Cowboys are set to match up with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football, so it may not be wise to bench their No. 3 cornerback when they have to deal with Drew Brees and the high-powered Saints offense.
Dallas head coach Jason Garrett will meet with the media later today which should give us a better idea of what will happen with Claiborne next.
