Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan is often labeled as the greatest basketball player of all-time. Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant gets thrown in the discussion as well.

Phil Jackson had the privilege of coaching and winning NBA titles with both of them, and is now working with superstar Carmelo Anthony trying to help him achieve the same.

One crucial role for Kobe Bryant was learning to pass, something Anthony could be expected to do more of in 2014. Jackson was asked if Anthony could learn from Bryant, and Jackson made an interesting comparison between Bryant and Jordan.

From the New York Post:

"Q: Is Kobe Bryant the model for Carmelo Anthony?A: No. No one can approach that. I don’t expect anybody to be able to model their behavior after that, although Kobe modeled his behavior a lot about Michael Jordan, but he went beyond Michael in his attitude towards training, and I know Mike would probably question me saying that, but he did."

Jordan and Bryant both had to make the transition to pass more, and Jackson promised that Anthony’s game will progress as well.
