This ranking was messed up from the very beginning. Cincinnati might be a good football team, but they are nowhere near the best team in the league right now. Yes, they are 3-0, but they have played the Ravens, Titans, and Falcons to get there. Two of those teams are quality teams, but it’s too early in the year to say that the Bengals are the best team in the NFL.

It’s hard to see them defeating a team like the Seahawks or Broncos, and there are other teams that could be ranked above the Bengals as well. Arizona is a quality football team as well, but they can’t be ranked over the Seahawks or Broncos at this stage of the season. Outside of that the rankings are fairly solid, but they messed the top up so bad that they have to get the vote for worst power ranking.

There will be quite a few changes next week when the power rankings for Week 5 come out. While the Seahawks and Broncos do have losses under their belt, they simply aren’t enough to knock them below the Bengals and Cardinals. This ranking is relying too much on records, and too little on each teams actual power.
