Keys to Victory

Ohio State hasn’t lost to an in-state opponent since 1921, but Cincinnati can push the Buckeyes if quarterback Gunner Kiel can perform in his first opportunity on a big stage. The Notre Dame transfer has thrown for 10 touchdown passes in his first two games for the Bearcats. Ohio State will need Joey Bosa to get after Kiel. J.T. Barrett is coming off a 312-yard performance and a school-record tying six touchdown passes against Kent State.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: OSU minus-15

Moneyline: Cincinnati plus-475, OSU minus-650

O/U: 64

Prediction

There’s a reason Ohio State hasn’t lost to another school from Ohio in almost a century. They’re better than everyone else in the state. Cincinnati, the preseason favorite in teh much-maligned American Athletic Conference, will be looking for the upset and coach Tommy Tuberville is 2-0 head-to-head against OSU coach Urban Meyer … until Saturday night, that is.

Final Score: Ohio State 35, Cincinnati 19
