It’s not as easy as it sounds, as my 81-99 record through four weeks suggests. Now we are getting into the part of the season where team actually have to play other FBS teams, so I have the chance to make up some serious ground. There are 53 games to pick this week!
This is for entertainment purposes only. I cannot be responsible for you losing your house, car, or other earthly possession. I am a simple man. I cannot have that on my conscience.
If I do decide to make a wager on any of these, I will not let it be known here. This is an unbiased source of information.
I am going to try to set a weekly goal this week and see how that goes. I would like to go 30-23, but a 28-25 mark is probably a little more realstic.
At any rate, let’s get right to it!
This piece will deal with the games for Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s games will be up throughout the day on Saturday. Don’t worry, I will give you at least two hours before kickoff for any last minute adjustments you may want to make. This staggering of posts also gives us the most accurate spread possible. So far, it hasn’t helped me….
Appalachian State at Georgia Southern(-17.5): Well, this is a team that doesn’t get covered, but how will they do when they are favored? Hopefully well, because I’m taking the Eagles.
Texas Tech at (24)Oklahoma State(-14.5): This line is up over a touchdown, and after seeing how Arkie wrecked Tech, I can see why. Can OSU do the same? Probably. Give me the Cowboys.
(11)UCLA(-3.5) at (15)Arizona State: The Bruins have not looked like a great team thus far, but Hundley is back, and Arizona State is without QB Taylor Kelly. I have to go with UCLA.
Middle Tennessee State at Old Dominion(-3.5): This game opened with the Monarchs dogs at home. It is now close to where it should be, though I still think ODU covers.
Fresno State(-5.5) at New Mexico: Why is this line climbing? I have only watched UNM once, but I’ve seen Fresno three times, and each time their defense looks worse. Give me the Lobos at home!
I will try to have the noon kickoffs for Saturday up tomorrow evening, but at worst, they will be up by 7am Saturday!
