Tight ends had a bit of a down week in week three as a group, and this week many owners were forced to hit the waiver wire searching for help at an already fairly thin position. With Dennis Pitta, Jordan Reed, and Kyle Rudolph injured while Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron on bye weeks, it’s a hard week to find a good option as your TE to start in week 4.

There are still some question marks as to availability for some tight ends as well with the big name being Vernon Davis. The latest on Davis is that he is on track to start on Sunday after returning to 49ers practice this week. Fortunately for all the owners left hunting in the wake of injuries and bye weeks, there are some emerging options at the position as well as the tried and true options.
