Keys to Victory
For the Eagles in this one, getting the passing game going with Foles and company is crucial. The 49ers passing defense ranks 15th in the NFL, allowing just over 226 yards per game. LeSean McCoy will still get his yards, but against seventh best rushing defense in the league at the moment, he may not get as much as the Eagles are accustomed. But all he has to do is get enough to make the play action a viable threat, so Foles can work on the Niners secondary.
To that point, however, the Eagles’ passing defense is significantly worse, ranking 30th in the league. If there is ever a day for Kaepernick and his threats to do some work down the field, it should be this Sunday. If the Eagles secondary continues its downward trend, then we could see some career days from members of this San Francisco offense.

Prediction
Getting off to a 1-2 start, the 49ers need this one badly, and they will more than likely get it. The Eagles have been able to survive until now with their porous secondary, but all good things come to an end. With their backs against the wall early, Jim Harbaugh will have Kaepernick and the skilled position players ready to have a strong day through the air.
Final Score: 49ers 35, Eagles 24
