The Charlotte Hornets are not going to make the same mistake that NFL teams have made with domestic violence situations recently.

The Hornets acted quickly, announcing on Friday that forward Jeff Taylor won’t participate in team activities following a recent domestic violence arrest.
From wncn.com:
"“We have informed Jeffery Taylor that effective immediately he will not be participating in any team-related activities while the NBA is investigating his conduct in this matter,” the team said in a statement released Friday. The statement continued, “As an organization, we understand and appreciate the seriousness of this matter, and will assist the NBA and law enforcement in any way we can until this comes to an acceptable resolution. We have spoken with Jeffery and his representatives and they fully understand our position.”"
Credit to the Hornets for how they’ve handled this matter. Taylor has some very serious allegations levied against him (prosecutors say he assaulted his girlfriend and a hotel employee at the East Lansing Marriott, according to the Lansing State Journal), and it would be a mistake to let him be with the team right now.
Taylor averaged 8.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game this past season with Charlotte. The team selected him during the second-round of the 2012 NBA Draft.
