Garnett will start at power forward for Lionel Hollins’ team after he experienced his worst season of his NBA career with career-lows in points with 6.5, rebounds with 6.6 and minutes with 20.5 as he battled injuries throughout the season which caused him to miss 28 games.
Still despite the miserable season, Garnett is ready to move past his 2013-2014 season and if focusing on having a strong 2014-2015 season and win his second championship of his career.
"“I like to come in each year and assess it,” Garnett said Friday at the team’s annual media day. “I’ve always said the days when I’m not feeling basketball again, which is absurd, or when I don’t have the motivation to come in here, it’s time to move on. But that’s not the case. I’m very much motivated. I’m looking to have a better year than last year and I’m looking to enjoy this year.”"
Garnett can still get it done on the defensive end and was one of the more efficient defensive rebounders in the league last year, but like with all great players, the time comes when you can no longer perform at the level you are accustomed, so will this be the last year in the NBA for Garnett, or will he have a comeback year and be motivated for a 21st season?
