The Jersey Report compiles the data of jersey sales online and at DICK’S Sporting Goods stores around the nation and they’ve come up with a special Top-10 list just for defenders. Their data tracks the sales of the three different versions of the jersey, the men’s, women’s and youth.
The first player on the list is Carolina Panthers’ Luke Kuechly. The second highest selling defensive jersey Washington Redskins’ Ryan Kerrigan. Finally Richard Sherman comes in at No. 3 on the defensive players list.
The list is pretty varied, and just one team has two players inside the Top-10, the Washington Redskins. Kerrigan’s teammate Brian Orakpo joins the list at No. 10. Both players had incredible climbs the past week, with Kerrigan climbing five spots and Orakpo climbing 11 spots.
Kerrigan’s sales primarily come from the men’s jersey, which account for 71 percent of the sales numbers. Orakpo’s sales figure are more evenly diverse, with the youth jersey accounting for the largest portion at 41 percent, the men’s at 31 percent and the women’s at 28 percent.
