The Miami Dolphins traveled to London yesterday afternoon in order to prepare and acclimate prior to their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Oakland Raiders.

The Dolphins head into the game on a two game skid, and badly need a win against the winless Raiders if the team hopes to salvage the season and potentially make a run to the playoffs.

All three of the Miami Dolphins games have been characterized by a slow start, and the onus has fallen on the Dolphins offense, and namely quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

While Tannehill is not playing atrocious by any means, he is seemingly not improving as the team has struggled to produce first half points. When you consider the impressive start to Miami’s run game, the passing game is a glaring weakness that must be fixed quickly.

Amidst the hoopla of traveling to London, the Dolphins and head coach Joe Philbin would not specifically name or endorse Tannehill as the starter this weekend against the Raiders.

This of course upset Tannehill, but the coach and quarterback apparently worked things out prior to boarding the plane yesterday afternoon.

In their first practice session in London, it was made excruciatingly clear who the starting quarterback would be this Sunday, and that is none other than Ryan Tannehill.

While Tannehill is going to get the start against the Raiders this weekend, he needs to play up to par or better in order to not get pulled if the team is performing badly. We will have to wait and see how Tannehill and his wide receivers respond to pressure.
