San Diego Chargers worried about Blake Bortles?
By Cory Buck
The San Diego Chargers aren’t taking anything for granted, even after back-to-back impressive wins to move to 2-1 on the 2014 NFL season.

With the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars next on the slate, it would be easy for the Chargers to overlook their next opponent, especially when the Jaguars are planning to start a rookie at quarterback. It’s that rookie, however, that has the team on edge.
Blake Bortles was named Jacksonville’s starter after an impressive showing in relief of veteran Chad Henne in Week 3. Bortles went 14-for-24 with 223 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
The fact wasn’t lost on San Diego defensive coordinator John Pagano, who spoke on Bortles per the Chargers team website.
"“He looks like a guy that shows great athleticism to move around, especially the limited amount of film that we’ve seen on him. But I think the most impressive play was the bootleg scramble where he had to kind of pivot away from two guys there to tackle him and ended up finding somebody downfield. So it shows he has that awareness to keep looking downfield.”"
The Chargers will host the Jaguars at 4PM EST at Qualcomm Stadium in an effort to move to 3-1 and sole control of the AFC West while the Jaguars will be playing for the team’s first win of the season and the first of Bortles’ career.
