Steve Nash Rumors: Thunder, Suns could make trade with Lakers?
By Josh Hill
The Los Angeles Lakers are in a weird spot this season as they may or may not be competing but could also be tanking. No one knows what’s up with the Lakers but it’s clear that change is on the horizon.

Change has already started to happen in Los Angeles, as the Lakers have a new head coach in Byron Scott and a new point guard in Jeremy Lin. Not to mention they’re armed with a pair of first-rounders in next year’s draft, it appears the Lakers are pressing on and getting younger.
That sort of leaves Steve Nash as the odd man out in L.A., but his final season in the NBA won’t be a boring one. According to Larry Coon from Basketball Insiders, there’s a good chance that the Lakers can find a taker for Steve Nash in a trade this year.
"As for Nash, if he’s healthy, then I can absolutely see a team looking for an experienced, veteran leader wanting to bring him in, like OKC did with Derek Fisher the last few years. And even with the glut of point guards in Phoenix, I can see them bringing him back home as an elder statesman and face of the franchise, especially if he has any plans of a career transition that keeps him with the club."
It’s not a guarantee that the Lakers will find a suitor for Nash but it’s also not like they’re going to hold him for ransom. They won’t be getting much in return for him and likely aren’t interested in keeping him around at all costs. Nash has had a Hall of Fame career in the NBA but it’s one that may end somewhere other than Los Angeles.
