With NBA 2k15 due out on October 7th, cover athlete Kevin Durant is starting to take a bit of a press tour regarding the game.
One of the stops on that tour was to the Jimmy Fallon show where Durant talked about how he plays the game with his friends during the offseason.
"I get in my mode. When we play, me and my boys in the summer time, there are like ten of us and we kind of have like a tournament, like a summer long tournament. And we like lock in. I broke plenty of controllers. My brother is not allowed to play anymore because he will break my TV. He is one of those guys like the computer make him do this but it don’t make me do that. He is a loser."

The other way we can tell Durant takes things potentially a bit too seriously is his answer about who he plays with. Durant can hide behind the arrogance excuse all he wants as to why he plays as LeBron James and not himself but really the answer is in his competitiveness.
As anyone who has played 2K knows, virtual Durant is unfair but virtual LeBron James is literally the most unstoppable force in video games since like Bo Jackson. Durant isn’t playing as Durant because it is arrogant; he isn’t playing as Durant because playing as LeBron if you are skilled at 2k makes losing almost impossible.
