There are still a lot of games left, but points from every came count in the final stretch of the season, and with the rivalry implications of this game there was even more pressure on both sides to get a win.

Arsenal dominated possession in a back and forth game, both teams getting similar shots on targets.

It wasn’t until the second half that either team got on the board. It was the visiting team to strike first. Erik Lamela set a beautiful through ball to Nacer Chadli who was open on the end of the defensive line.

He took the ball in and put it on the back post to go in and take the lead. Chadli celebrated by telling the Arsenal crowd to be quiet with his finger over his mouth.

Things were looking dire for Arsenal who got a few more chances on goal. The tying score came nearly 20 minutes after Chadli’s and it wasn’t necessarily the prettiest of goals.

A shot from Santi Cazorla went off a defender in the middle of the box. The ball hovered in the air for a bit and Danny Welbeck went for the strike and completely whiffed on it.

But after Welbeck whiffed on it, the ball rolled towards an open and unmarked Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. It is was an interesting goal into a wide-open net.

Arsenal fans hoped the goal would spark a comeback, but they couldn’t get many quality chances after that Oxlade-Chamberlain goal. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and will be viewed as a win to a certain degree for Tottenham fans.

With Arsenal dominating possession 69-31 and out shooting Tottenham 16-6, the Spurs are thrilled to exit the game with a point.
