Saints’ Rob Ryan takes a shot at Cowboys
By Mike Dyce
When the Dallas Cowboys don’t live up to expectations in a season they need a scapegoat, which is basically every year lately. A couple of seasons ago that scapegoat was defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, who was released and since has found a home with the New Orleans Saints.
Ryan will face his former team on Sunday Night Football and didn’t hold back any shots while discussing the match up.
Jon Machota, of the Dallas Morning News specifies defensive coordinator because they’ve had three in three years, Ryan being one of them. While we trust Machota’s read on the context. Ryan could be addressing the offensive side of the ball who have had three different “play-callers” in the past three seasons as well.
Ryan had a remarkable season with the New Orleans Saints last year, leading them to a fourth-best 305.7 yards allowed. He also got to enjoy the Cowboys’ defensive woes last season.
The Cowboys fans can enjoy the fact that they’re 2-1 heading into the game while the Saints are 1-2.
