What some Vikings fans have been wondering, however, is whether or not Peterson will return to the team this season.
According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, that is “very unlikely’ to happen.
Mortensen said that Peterson is not in the Vikings’ plans moving forward in 2014, so it is highly unlikely that we will see him suited up and back on the field for Minnesota at any point during the season.
Peterson’s long-term future with the Vikings was already in jeopardy, so it is really possible that Peterson has already played his last down with the team.
