Brady Hoke: Michigan can still win a championship
The Michigan Wolverines lost their third game in four weeks when they lost 30-14 to the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the crowd at the Big House let their displeasure be known as boos showered down upon head coach Brady Hoke who could be nearing the end of his tenure in Ann Arbor.

Michigan is 1-8 in their last nine games against teams from the Power 5 conferences and their lone wins this season have come against Appalachian State and Miami (Ohio) who has not won a game since 2012.
The losses are one thing, but the team has not even been competitive in losses to Minnesota, Utah Utes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who shutout Michigan for the first time in series history and the first times since 1984, a span of 365 games, but Hoke remains confident this team can win a championship.
"“I think this team can still win a championship,” he said. “I really do, but we’ve got to play much better and we have to support each other as we do it.”"
The Wolverines have quarterback issues, a dearth of skill position players and have fallen behind the Michigan State Spartans and even further behind the Ohio State Buckeyes in both on-the-field success and on the recruiting trail, but Hoke remains confident this team can win a championship.
Hoke is in serious danger of losing his job, but don’t count on Michigan firing him in the middle of the season like Kansas did with Charlie Weis as he is owed a $3 million if he is dismissed before January, but after January that number drops to $2 million.
Michigan has invested $12.26 million in him in his four years with the Wolverines as he compiled a 28-16 record but are only 3-8 in their last 11.
