11. Miguel Cabrera, 3B/1B – $138,410,623

Cabrera is going to finish as one of the highest-paid players to ever play the game when his career is over after signing a 10-year, $292 million contract prior to the start of the 2014 season. The contract is the single largest contract in MLB history for the two-time AL MVP and 2012 Triple Crown Winner.

The 12-year veteran was a big-money player when he was making the league minimum when he made his big league debut in 2003 and was the best hitter on the Florida Marlins team than won the World Series. What he’s done since has cemented his status as one of the all-time greats.

Cabrera has finished in the top five of MVP voting a total of seven time s throughout his Hall of Fame career and will go down as one of the greatest right handed hitter of all-time, along with his contemporary Albert Pujols.
