The folks over at 506 Sports take the broadcast schedule and visualize it on a map, showing you which stations around the country get which games. The CBS line up is pretty complex with games in both time slots. The Jacksonville Jaguars game against the San Diego Chargers is the late game, and curiously gets theSouthern California region and the northern Florida market. Curiously that game also gets the Denver and Rockies region, Chicago, Wisconsin and Michigan areas, Pittsburgh and the New York City market.
For the early line up on FOX things are pretty straightforward. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has limited coverage in the neighboring region. The Detroit Lions game against the New York Jets, again limited to the same regions, Michigan and New England with the addition of the Miami area, for the AFC East implications.
Indianapolis and Houston are left in the dark.
The late schedule isn’t that exciting, the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers gets national coverage while the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings get regional coverage with the addition of the Louisville market, possibly for the Teddy Bridgewater connection.
