The Oakland Athletics avoided MLB infamy and ensured a trip to the postseason on Sunday, as Sonny Gray threw a complete-game shutout against the Texas Rangers. The win stamped Oakland’s ticket to October baseball, securing a playoff berth that seemed guaranteed earlier in the season.

Oakland will head to Kansas City, and face the Royals in the American League Wild Card game. The winner of the Wild Card game will travel to Los Angeles, and face the AL West champion Angels.

The A’s are now in, even if it’s barely, and the team took a breath to celebrate the accomplishment on Sunday afternoon. Here’s some of the best tweets and photos from the Athletics’ clinching celebration:

The water slide is especially memorable for designated hitter Adam Dunn, acquired by the A’s at the end of August. Dunn, a 14-year MLB veteran, has never made the postseason in his career, and earlier this year announced his intentions to retire after this season.

Utility man Nick Punto thought Gray was too hot, and decided to um, help Gray out of his shirt:
