The San Diego Chargers are one of those teams that appears to play up and down to their level of competition at times.

More from Jacksonville Jaguars

They were very impressive in a victory over the Seattle Seahawks two weeks ago bu have struggled so far against the 0-3 Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday (to be fair the Jaguars look like a much better team with Blake Bortles at quarterback than they did with Chad Henne under center).

If it wasn’t for Eddie Royal, the Chargers could be in some trouble. Royal’s 47-yard touchdown gave the Chargers a 10-7 lead in the second quarter. Then, after Bortles found Nic Jacobs for a two-yard score to make it 14-10, Philip Rivers hooked up with Royal again, this time from 43 yards out.

You can watch the two players hook up for their second touchdown below.
