Geno Smith had two more turnovers as the New York Jets lost to the Detroit Lions and the home crowd let their second-year quarterback know how disappointed they were in the former second round pick who has led the Jets to a 1-3 record.

Jets fans were chanting the name of backup quarterback Michael Vick during the game as Smith tossed his fifth interception of the year and lost his second fumble as the Jets lost at home for the second time in six days.
Rex Ryan still believes in Smith and his top receiver Eric Decker is 100 percent confident and thinks it is unfair he is receiving so much criticism and defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson has a message for the fans chanting for Vick.
"Sheldon Richardson on fans chanting for Vick: “Shut up. If that’s the case, produce a child to come make it to NFL & we’ll see what he got” — Manish Mehta (@MMehtaNYDN) September 28, 2014"
Of course Richardson is going to have his teammates back and support him, but telling the home fans to shut up is not going to endear him to the New York fans, even if he was the defensive rookie of the year last year and a potential Pro Bowler.
Chalk it up to frustration after another loss for Richardson, but I can’t imagine this will go over well in the Big Apple and in the local media this week.
