The dust has settled since LeBron James’ NBA return to Cleveland, and it’s finally time for some actual basketball to start. The Cleveland Cavaliers held their media day on Friday, and I’ll admit, it is surreal seeing James in the Cavs jersey again. I’ve seen the photoshops for months, but there’s something about it that makes me excited for the upcoming season and excited for the future. I was getting tired of the Miami Heat; I’ll admit that as well.

Although James has tried to temper expectations heading into the season, James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving acknowledged this is a ‘championship or bust season’ for Cleveland.

While it’s good to be positive and set the bar high, outside of James, Irving, and Love, I fail to see where the talent is going to come from to win a championship.

Is he Dion Waiters going to step up? Can Mike Miller and Shawn Marion stay healthy and contribute? Can Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson hold their own? How is this roster going to come together?

Those are just the first few questions that come to mind looking at the roster. The logistics of actually playing on the court together haven’t even been considered in those four huge questions.

That’s not a great sign for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

As I dug a little deeper, I noticed the Cavaliers have five problems, not 99, and Dion Waiters is definitely one.

These red flags have forced me to believe Cleveland cannot be the favorite to win the East, and they won’t based on how this roster is currently constructed.
