Bradley Beal and John Wall are one heck of a starting backcourt combination for the Washington Wizards.

But Beal doesn’t just think the duo is strong, he says it’s the best in the NBA, according to the Washington Post.

"“I think we’re definitely the best back court in the league,” Beal declared at his team’s Media Day at Verizon Center Monday. “Just in terms of what we’re capable of doing, the confidence that we have in that. At the same time we got to prove it.”"

While this comment might raise some eyebrows, it’s not that absurd. The Golden State Warriors’ duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson is likely better, but there are few other teams that put out a better starting point guard and shooting guard combo than the Wizards.

Wall averaged 19.3 points, 8.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game and was named to the all-star team last season. Beal, in just his second season, averaged 17.1 points, 3.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game. The two were primarily responsible for Washington’s 44-win season and their trip to the second round of the postseason.

With a great supporting cast surrounding them once again, Beal and Wall have a chance for even more postseason success in 2015, which would help Beal’s argument.
