There has been a lot of talk about the feelings of Golden State Warriors’ guard Klay Thompson after the Warriors discussed trading him in a package to acquire former Minnesota Timberwolves’ power forward Kevin Love. Love, of course, was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, it didn’t seem like anyone felt bad for the other player who was reportedly going to be in the deal – power forward David Lee. That seems just fine with Lee.
“There was no hard feelings,” Lee said Monday via Diamond Leung of The Bay Area News Group. “There can’t be. Our front office is trying to improve the team, and Kevin Love is a great player.
“It happened, and I’m not mad at anybody. I don’t feel bad. It’s just this is a business.”
That’s the best way to approach a situation like that and Lee has been nothing put a professional.
Lee averaged 18.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 52.3% from the field and 78.0% from the free throw line last season. Lee was originally drafted by the New York Knicks with the 30th-overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft. After five years in New York, he was dealt to the Warriors in a sign-and-trade. The Knicks dealt him to make room for Amar’e Stoduemire, who they signed away from the Phoenix Suns. He’s averaged 15.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 53.4% from the floor and 78.0% from the charity stripe in his nine-year NBA career
