Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen has been fired for the second night in a row.

One night after a report from the AP that claimed Allen was fired and then quickly was taken back, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports is reporting that the Raiders have informed Allen he has been relieved of his duties on Monday night.

The Raiders are currently 0-4 and are coming off of a 38-14 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London in Week 4.

It must have been a long ride home for Allen.

Dennis Allen was 8-23 in his three seasons as the Oakland Raiders’ head coach, so it was clear that a move needed to be made.

There is no word on what the Raiders will do to fill the vacancy left by Dennis Allen at this time, but offensive coordinator Greg Olson, who has a strong relationship with rookie quarterback Derek Carr, is expected to be one of the front-runners to serve as interim head coach.

Former Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano, who is the assistant head coach and offensive line coach of the Raiders, could also be an option.
