After another terrible performance at quarterback on Sunday, young Geno Smith was greeted by new York Jets fans with loud chants of “We want Vick” raining down from the stands after his second turnover of the game. After the game, Smith had some choice words for the fans himself, and as he was walking off of the field, a camera happened to catch him looking up into the stands and screaming “[expletive] you!” at a group of Jets fans.

It’s assumed that the fans were heckling Smith as he walked towards them and after a bad day on the field coupled with hearing chants for his back up, Geno couldn’t help but let loose.
Smith should expect a fine coming down from the NFL offices after this, especially since it ended up being caught on camera, which is pretty bad luck for the second-year quarterback.
It looks like he will keep his starting job for at least one more week, but if his play continues to disappoint, he can expect plenty more “we want Vick” chants aimed at him from the stands.
Once in the locker room, Smith did apologize in front of reporters for cursing at the fans. It’s clear that Geno just got caught up in the moment and let his emotions get the best of him, however he can still expect a bit of backlash from the league for this outburst.
