LeBron James helped Team USA win Gold in Bejing (2008) and London (2012). However, it remains to be seen whether the NBA’s greatest player will attempt to earn his third top medal.

James said on Monday that he has not made up his mind about participating in the 2016 Olympics, according to Tom Withers of the AP.
"James said Monday following the Cavaliers’ practice that he’s ”nowhere near” deciding if he’ll again play for Team USA in two years. Kevin Durant has reportedly said he will play for the American squad in Brazil, but James said following practice that ”I haven’t even thought about it too much. I haven’t decided.”"
LeBron will be 31 when the Brazil games roll around, so it would be understandable if he didn’t want to participate as a means to protect his body.
Still, considering his relationship with Team USA and the pride one has in playing for their country, the pull to play figures to be strong for LeBron.
With all the free agent mania that surrounded him this summer and his eye on the upcoming 2014-15 NBA season, it’s not surprising that James hasn’t given his Olympic playing status too much thought.
LeBron averaged 27.1, 6.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this past season with the Miami Heat.
