Cody Prewitt gave the Alabama Crimson Tide some bulletin board material in advance of Saturday evening’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels when he said Alabama isn’t as good as they used to be.

Prewitt stopped short of guaranteeing a victory when the two SEC west teams meet in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday with College Gameday in attendance for the marquee game pitting two top-10 teams against each other, but he believes the Crimson Tide aren’t playing at the same level they were a few years ago when they won three national championships in a four year span.
"“We understand that we haven’t played a team that’s going to be as good as Bama,” Prewitt told FoxSports after Ole Miss’s 24-3 win over Memphis. “But we don’t really think Bama is as good as they have been. And we’re better than we have been. We’re looking forward to getting to the game plan and really nailing down all the tweaks and stuff that we’re going to have to put into Bama.”"
Prewitt is correct when he says Ole Miss hasn’t played a team as good as Bama and that Ole Miss is better than they have been in year’s past, and Prewitt’s critique of Alabama is similar to what a number of people were saying about them in the preseason with questions at quarterback and in the secondary.
However, the Tide has answered the questions at quarterback with Blake Sims playing at a high level and the secondary getting better by the week.
I wonder if the Florida Gators share the same thought process as Prewitt after Alabama dominated in their 42-21 win two Saturdays ago?
Do you think Alabama will make Prewitt, an All-American safety a year ago, eat his words?
