The Orlando Magic are finally crawling out of the shadows from the Dwight Howard era, as losing him set the team back significantly. But while it has taken a while for the Magic to rebound, the future looks very bright in Orlando.

Orlando has put together a nice young team that seems like it will be able to grow together as a unit, but that’s a lot easier said than done. One thing that needs to happen is the Magic need to lock up their young players in long term deals, which is the situation both Tobias Harris and Nikola Vucevic are in this year.

According to Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, both are adored by the Magic front office but neither will motivate the team to break the bank to rush long term deals.

Both players are All-Star caliber starters and both are pillars in this new era for the Magic. Both Aaron Gordon and Victor Oladipo seem poised to make the leap to the next level as well, meaning the Magic will have a core of young and talented players to try and help restore the glory as soon as this upcoming season.
