Vikings’ Teddy Bridgewater MRI reveals no damage
The Minnesota Vikings ushered in the next era of quarterback play on Sunday. Matt Cassel went down a week ago and broke several bones in his foot, rendering him done for the season. In response, Minnesota turned over the reins to rookie first-round pick, Teddy Bridgewater.

What did Teddy do? Oh, nothing but go 19-of-30 for 317 yards and a rushing touchdown, while leading the Vikings to a 41-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
It wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies, however. Bridgewater took a run play up the middle late in the fourth quarter and had his ankle rolled up on. Despite walking off under his own power, he would not return, and was carted into the locker room. He did end up re-appearing on the sidelines to finish the game and looked to be in good spirits.
That information was substantiated this morning as Sportscenter is reporting that the Vikings and Bridgewater appear to have dodged a bullet.
With a short week before a rivalry matchup with the Packers, Minnesota will look to get Teddy to continue to heal up. He should be fine for the primetime matchup, and has another opportunity to shine.
Bridgewater was the 32nd overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft after a bad pro day seemingly outweighed his years of college game film.
The Vikings square off with the Packers at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night.
