Back in August, Jordan Brand unveiled the newest design of Blake Griffin’s Super.Fly shoe line. Those shoes will be available on Oct. 1, and Blake Griffin showed the alternative colorway off in a post on Instagram, which you can see below.

A team of designers worked with Griffin to create the new shoe, which drew inspiration from Griffin’s above-the-rim playing style.  It’s no surprise that Nike wanted to get in on the easily marketable dunks taking place in Lob City.

As Nike explained in its press release announcing the newest design, the company incorporated a “FlightPlate to provide for the power of flight.”

The outsole provides increased stability, and was inspired by the AJ XX9. The upper design was inspired by a “sonic boom” and the synthetic overlays are also meant to provide additional stability.

Both colorways will be available on Oct. 1. Fans can purchase either one for $140.
