The Boston Celtics are looking at a season in which they want to take a leap forward but might be handicapped by their lack of established talent. Rajon Rondo is out with a broken hand, they have almost no veteran presence and the team is trying to grow its youth.

All of this could ultimately lead to some big moves being made by the Celtics in which their veterans are moved to make room for that youth. According to Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, the Boston Celtics are likely to trade away all of their veterans as the youth on the roster continues to bubble and rise.
"The Vets are likely going to be moved as the team evolves to their youth. It’s inevitable, but tanking doesn’t insure anything, being bad enough to get the top pick is a long road back. They have some good pieces."
Rondo has been rumored to be on the move for a while, but that broken hand complicates things a lot. There’s other talent to be had though as Gerald Wallace, Brandon Bass and others could be moved this season to teams looking for role players to help fill out their postseason roster depth.
It’s not a given that Boston will make trades, it’s just something to consider in a season where nothing is yet promised to the Celtics.
