Mike Miller confirms LeBron James was angry Miami Heat let him go
Mike Miller became a key player for the Miami Heat as they won back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013. Miller’s ability to knock down timely three-pointers masked his injury problems somewhat and he developed a great relationship with star LeBron James. However, following the 2012-2013 season, the Heat used the amnesty clause to waive Miller and he wound up joining the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to a report from David Aldridge of NBA.com, James was very angry the Heat waived Miller.
Miller is now once again teammates with James. After James decided to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, he recruited Miller to join him.
Miller, who says he and James are “as close as teammates than any I’ve had in my career,” confirmed that James wasn’t happy when the Heat let Miller go.
“LeBron thought it was an unnecessary change,” Miller told Chris Haynes of The Northeast Ohio Media Group. “I’m not saying I would have been a difference-maker. San Antonio was unbelievable last year and there are a lot of things that go into a season, but it was difficult for LeBron.
“It was difficult for all of us. It was difficult for me. I had to uproot my family and move again. It was tough. I think he was disappointed because he understands legacies and he understands what he wants to do in life. That’s what makes him special.”
After a year apart, the two seem very happy to be teammates once again.
